Somebody very dear to me informed me today that I have no life whatsoever. I am going to prove her right by making one rather pointless post on a daily basis (or I suppose whenever possible), informing the hoi polloi that comprise the audience of this blog of the song that has captured the attention of my picky ears. My listening habits are such that I frequently skip tracks until I find one that suits my mood and repeat it over and over again.
Anyways, without further ado (for those of you who do not stoop so low as to read post titles) , today's track is Therion's Nightside of Eden, a rocking bassy track from their fifth album, Theli. The song has an eerie reverberating intro with a very unique bass sound that I can't get enough of. While the bass-line is my highlight of the song, I also get completely blown away, as one does, with the vocals (lead) which are just perfect for the song. Therion never fail to impress me with their amazing ability to imbue a rather fantastic feel to their music which always proves to be a snug fit for the lyrics (see linked wikipedia article for background on their lyrics).
All in all, a great song!
