Religulous is a documentary comedy (odd classification for sure) in which the comedian and talk-show host, Bill Maher, explores the three Abrahamic religions and their effects on the world today. It's a fun watch and effectively a platform for Maher to air his views by introducing us to the kooks and frauds of the religious world.
Absolute classic and a must watch.

This is the sequel to The Wizard of Earthsea and while a little underwhelming, is a nice read. The protagonist from the first book does play an important part in this book. However, he does not appear until half-way through and primarily plays the role of a mentor-like supporting figure to the central character, a young girl brainwashed by religion.
I wish the Miyazakis had made this book into a movie rather than some shambolic hodge-podge combination of the lot.
I was wondering earlier why the predominant color of Islam is green. According to Wikipedia, green is the color of the garments of the "inhabitants of paradise". But, this article in Slate provides a far simpler (additional) reason:
I have been assiduously following the TV series "Agatha Christie's Poirot for many many years, and, largely speaking, have been a fan of both David Suchet and the adaption to television in general. While, it has been at least a decade since I read my last Poirot novel, I can probably claim with some degree of accuracy to have read all of Poirot's cases.
I came across this term in a conversation today and barely held back a guffaw. An islamic democracy is rather self contradictory, an oxymoron etc., no?
