I just came to know that Megadeth had released another song from their United Abominations album for preview about a month ago. While this had apparently only been released for the fan club, it seems to be available for direct download from the Megadeth site. Google tells me that a number of sites have put it up for download as well, including this one.
This is the third song that has been "pre-released" from the new album (which incidentally is due out on May 8 or 15 depending on who you choose to believe). The first two Gears Of War and Washington's next weren't terribly appealing, and the new song, dubbed Sleepwalker doesn't seem to make me leap for joy either. However, it is a lot heavier than either of them. That said, it isn't terribly melodious and most of the interesting bits sound just like Take No Prisoners from their album Rust In Peace. Hopefully, it will grow on me.
Hope, hope, hope. I have never had such a low level of enthusiasm for a Megadeth album. Ever.
